Made From Recycled Fibers
Our terry towels are made from 100% recycled materials: 50% recycled cotton from pre-consumer cutting offcuts and 50% recycled polyester from used PET bottles. Our MARE and SOLEA peshtemals blend 50% organic cotton with recycled fibers. There is no dyeing step: each shade comes from recycled fibers sorted and blended by the color they already carry.
Color Without Dye
Our beach towels and peshtemals get their color from the recycled fibers they are made from. We sort the fibers by the shade they already carry and blend them before spinning, so there is no dyeing step and no dye bath.
Our products are tested for harmful substances under OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, and the QR on each tag opens the Digital Passport of its production batch. Join us in making a difference, one towel at a time.
Made From What Remains
Our cotton starts as pre-consumer cutting offcuts from garment factories, and our polyester as used PET bottles. The yarn left over from making each towel is knitted into its own package, which you can reuse to carry, store or gift.
Certified to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS)
Green Petition is certified to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) by Control Union (licence CU1118994). GRS verifies recycled content and its chain of custody through third-party audits that also cover environmental practices and chemical restrictions at certified sites.
