Color Without Dye

Most textiles are colored after their fibers are produced. MARE begins with a considered blend of organic cotton and recycled fibers—including recovered textile fibers that already carry color.

The recovered fibers are carefully sorted by shade and combined with organic cotton to create MARE’s distinctive tones and stripes. The color is built into the material composition—not added later through a conventional dye bath.

Product-Specific Knitted Package

MARE’s package begins where the peshtemal’s weaving process ends. The product yarns remaining after production are transformed into a knitted package created specifically for its size and colorway.

Color-matched and finished with water-based printing, it can be reused for carrying, storing, or gifting. In this way, the packaging becomes a continuation of the product—not a disposable afterthought.
