SOLEA brings together organic cotton and recovered fibers in a lightweight, flat-woven peshtemal designed for comfort, versatility, and easy movement.

Each SOLEA contains about 3 recycled PET bottles and 1 T-shirt's worth of cotton cutting offcuts. Using recycled cotton instead of new cotton avoids about 1,500 liters of irrigation water.

Color Without Dye

Most textiles are colored after their fibers are produced. SOLEA begins with a considered blend of organic cotton and recycled fibers—including recovered textile fibers that already carry color.

The recovered fibers are carefully sorted by shade and combined with organic cotton to create SOLEA’s distinctive tones and stripes. The color is built into the material composition—not added later through a conventional dye bath.

No dyeing step: color comes from the recycled fibers. The only finishing step uses GOTS-approved REVECOL® softeners by ERCA, made from recycled cooking oil, and every peshtemal is tested for harmful substances (OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100).

Product-Specific Knitted Package

SOLEA’s package begins where the peshtemal’s weaving process ends. The product yarns remaining after production are transformed into a knitted package created specifically for its size and colorway.

Color-matched and finished with water-based printing, it can be reused for carrying, storing, or gifting. In this way, the packaging becomes a continuation of the product—not a disposable afterthought.

Every Green Petition order arrives in an upcycled box made from recovered printing waste. A removable paper sleeve protects it during transit, so the box inside reaches you clean and ready to use again.
